If you were to ask your loved ones what they really want, what would you hear? You might think they desire more money, or more freedom, or more vacation time, etc .  However what they desire, often

without knowing it or being able to articulate it, is amazing. Get ready!
What your family members really want is grace.

Some might ask, “What in the world is grace?” The simplest definition can be understood by using only 5 words. Grace is:

God’s
Riches
At
Christ’s
Expense

Why do all family members ultimately want grace? Think about the following:

All family members are made by God and for God, whether they realize it or not. When we are born, everyone of us possess this innate graving for grace. Deep inside we sense a desire for  something that is missing, and struggle to uncover what it is. We try all sorts of things to satisfy this longing, but keep ending up disappointed.  We need someone to show us what grace is, in order that we too may receive it.

This is where one who has grace comes in. If you have found grace, then you can extend grace to other family members.Only those who have found grace in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ can give it. Then because He is grace, He delights in giving out His grace through the one has received Him.  When you receive Jesus’ grace, you possess:

God’s
Riches
At
Christ’s
Expense

and are empowered to give it to others. You can give grace by:

1.  Trusting Jesus to love your family through you.
2.  Trusting Jesus to serve your family through you.
3.  Trusting Jesus to forgive your family through you.
4.   Trusting Jesus to be patient with your family through you.
5  Trusting Jesus to tell your  family how they also can receive the same grace you enjoy. Share with them your story of how you came to experience Jesus’ grace.

Explain to them what this means in the context of your life.

God’s
Riches
At
Christ’s
Expense

Of course, this is all predicated upon the fact that you have received grace in your heart. You only can give what you have.  So be sure you live in Jesus’ grace. Then give your family members what they really hunger for.  GRACE

For the curious;  2 Corinthians 9:8.
