By Dr. James A. Perkins

Life includes dealing with the good and bad. So none of us can avoid the inevitable fact that times come in life, when we hit bottom. So how do we cope, when we feel as low as we can go?

Consider these 5 Reasons to Climb to the Top, When You Hit Bottom.

C – Concluding that your Future is Bright, Because Things Can’t Get Any Darker. For those who hit bottom, you can’t pretend that everything is great, because it isn’t. Yet this low place provides the perfect moment to look for a bright future. Remember, the sun will come out tomorrow.

L – Learning Life is not just What Happens to You, but What Happens in You. Yes, bad things happen, but you can look at your situation as an opportunity for personal growth. The fact is, troubling times serve as an opportunity to grow yourself and learn life lessons you never knew before.

I – Identifying Things that Inspire You. Though you are in a bad spot, discover a few things you are thankful for. Keep your mind focused on these realites, and let them inspire you to step up the staircase with hope.

M – Moving Up Will Motivate You to Keep Going. Constantly keep this in mind: The journey of 1000 miles begins with the first step. So begin to climb and move on up with inner motivation.

B – Believe that Jesus Helps You to Believe in Yourself. As stated earlier, moving from the bottom to the top can help you grow personally. And the chief source of help to climb out and up is Jesus. So keep on seeking Him every step of the way, for Christ desires to be your strength and life. More fellowship with Him helps you to believe this truth . . .

. . . “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13)
