On occasion, it is common that we may feel like we are not so important. We may get negative thoughts it in our heads and think we aren’t of much value. However, did you know that each of us lives as someone’s hero, even if we don’t know it. Here are 3 Proofs that each of us lives as a hero to someone.

1.If you have ever done one, simple act of kindness in behalf of another, you are someone’s hero.

For instance, when you hold open a door for another, your kind act reflects you became someone’s hero. Even if only for a moment, you displayed a kind gesture. Heed an old adage by the great, 4th century educationalist, William of Wykeham who said,”Manners makyth man.” Know that whenever we demonstrate manners to another, we prove ourself a hero to the recipient.

2.If you offer encouragement to another, you prove you are someone’s hero.

Think back over the last few weeks. Can you recall a moment, when you encouraged someone? Pause and recall that day you put on a happy face. Did you know that in that instant you became someone’s hero. The late, Anne Frank said, “Everyone has inside them a piece of good news. The good news is you don’t know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is.”

3.If you ever prayerfully sing a simple song,  to God in behalf of others, you are someone’s hero.

Years ago a singing trio – Peter, Paul, and Mary became famous for the simple tuneKumbaya.” The lyrics are a prayerful plea for God, that He hears and responds to our prayers. Singing Kumbaya for another to hear reveals we are someone’s hero.

Perhaps you will go and be a hero to someone in need today. As you recall the tune, “Someone’s crying, Lord, Kumbaya,” go and minister life to them. Christians are called to reach out to others in need.  Follow Jesus in seeking out those who are lost.  Someone is praying or crying even now.  Intercede in their behalf in the name of Jesus. Be someone’s hero right now.
